Manage all aspects of Human Resources related to payroll, policy and relations.

1. Employee Relations
- Recruiting
- Interviewing
- Job offers
- Hiring
- All related paperwork, I-9, W4
- Firing
- Discipline
- Union relations
- Union negotiations
- Training
- Policy writing
2. Total Rewards
- Payroll
- W2
- Quarterly perfect attendance awards
- Biannual profit sharing and bonuses
- Shoe reimbursement
- Union dues monthly report
- Medical, vision and dental benefits – negotiate and administrate
- Short term disability and worker’s comp – negotiate and administrate
- Track FMLA/PFML
- Monitor doctor’s notes
- 401(k) 2 plans – administrate, process and follow loans
- Open enrollment annually
- Vacation tracking
- Direct Deposit
- Attendance policy
- Maintain Optimum data base
3. All Government Compliance
- EEOC reporting
- Census maintenance
- 401(k) compliance testing and 5500 preparation for 2 plans
Any other duties as assigned by General Manager
Education and/or Experience:
5 Years of experience in HR or a related field. Professional certification is suggested. College degree.
Language Skills:
Solid communication skills, ability to write policy and procedures clearly. Ability to explain complicated concepts. Ability to teach.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math skills, analytical skills, ability to understand complex scenarios, solid understanding of payroll principles.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of all aspects of the field of Human Resources.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
SHRM or HRCI certification is recommended.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing. Ability to use computer and other office equipment. Occasional reaching, pulling, pushing. Able to negotiate production floor.
